From pool routes to hot attics
I ran a small pool service route for years before I ever climbed into an attic, so I already knew Orange County backyards pretty well. I learned insulation on a crew working attics around here, which is a fine way to find out how hot a roof gets in August. In 2023 I started Mission Viejo Insulation and Spray Foam here in Mission Viejo.
Most of our calls come from people with one room they can't keep comfortable, usually the one over the garage or a hot upstairs bedroom, or from someone with an old attic they don't trust. I care most about doing the work in the right order, because insulation hides whatever's under it. I'd rather tell you a job isn't ready than take your money and cover up a problem. How we work in your house
We look before we quote
I check the attic or crawl space for leaks, bad wiring and old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings before I price anything. New insulation over a problem just hides it, and you'd be paying to bury it.
The person you call is the person who comes out
When you call, you get me, and I'm the one who comes out to look and writes the estimate, so nothing gets lost between what you were told and what gets done. Our installers do the work, and I check it before we leave.
Every step on paper, in order
Your estimate lists each step in the order we'll do it, including any air sealing of the gaps around lights, pipes and the hatch, or a repair that has to come first, so you can line it up fairly against other bids. If sealing those gaps and topping up blown-in insulation will do the job instead of foam, I'll tell you, even though that's a smaller job for us.
We handle the permit when there is one
When a job needs a permit, we file it with the city or county office that covers your address and book the inspections ourselves. In Mission Viejo, permits and inspections all go through the city's online system, and you don't have to learn it.
